Creative Zen Vision:W on Win2k

Using Zen Vision:W with Windows 2000

  • Since it is Win2k I cannot use Creative's Software CD but have to "work around"
    • W2k Driver from Creatives Siteexternal link
    • This file is needed: P4S_PCDRV_US_1_01_00.exe Get it from the above description.
  • Audio Sync with Media Monkeyexternal link to get MP3s into the Music directory of the device
  • Video Sync, delete files & folders and create folders on the device with MS Media Player 9
  • Video/DVD conversion according to this guideexternal link (Thanks!!)
    • I use setting: fixed width 720 (for displaying externally on NTSC TV)
  • AutoGKexternal link
  • And then MS Media Player 9 to get the stuff into the Video directory on the device

Everything else (Playlists, Organzizer, FM-Radio, Album art etc. pp.) I do not bother with since it is not trivial/not possible to get it working. sad
